Tyler Clark - Trials & Errors lyrics

We've paid in time Looking for a way we could Stay divine No it ain't right So we change minds I don't want to try say that it's a Major crime Too late to rise From the bottom up I'll call your bluff Behind the closed doors Communicate like Morse code And so forth It's unknown But the torch light Leads to your home As we play with lives For our own good - self-destructive Notions - our demise is Closer But the price to pay To fight the wane and ebb In life to make a dime And never leave a trace Of crime Your face begins to say it's Otherwise - And so does mine From one theory to another We can never fully stop understanding Who are we to change what cannot be changed Just for progress - Don't make it up (at the start of the day they will) Take what runs (but the martyrs and saints lose Faith and trust) (it's hard to obtain when the stakes are Us) Cultural political The facets of society It doesn't make sense With irrational authority - But I digress The lies we stretch From books we read - It's personal The worse it turns To merciful To pick and choose What fits our views It's this which proves The opinion's true - It's pitiful What can we do (Is it manageable?) I guess we're doomed No matter what From test tubes To hell, soon It's not the belief that is bothersome It's the conviction that it's the only belief And the blatant disregard for what is logical and what is reasonable To believe without reason? Or to only believe in reason?
