Tram Vo| September 9, 2013 Week 5 Reading Journal ♦ While on a website, browsing on what to read. I came across horoscopes and Chinese horoscopes on Yahoo. I went to my horoscope which is an Ox, and it told me almost everything about who I am going to be this year, to my wealth and health. Since this year is the year of the snake (2013), I am going to be more in luck and the snake will help me out during the year. The horoscope told me to keep an open mind and that this year is the year that will be my most successful and happiest. Told me to,"think, study, plan and meditate. Secondly, go deep in whatever you do. Being superficial could hold you back." As reading this I thought carefully on what I might do this year. I thought about how am I going to make this year the year that's going to be my best? But, what ever it is I kind of laughed at the horoscopes because I don't believe in them (well, not entirely). What had happened was, a daughter was wearing short shorts and the mother asked her to change into something more appropriate to wear for dinner and golfing. Raising 4 daughters and 3 sons, both parents get worried in resulting, the father takes his old pair of jean and cuts them into shorts.
