Timothy Alan - Shia's Log: Day 10 lyrics

Day 10. November 1, 2012. 1:22 am. I can't sleep. Something isn't right. I can feel this discomfort choking the life out of me, and I can't do anything about it. God, it has to be around 1 am for sure. The clock has been broken for the last few days, so all the times I've been putting since have been guesses based on how tired I am. Insomnia is the worst thing to have right now, and I can't exactly go down to the local drug store and ask for a sleeping pill. I'm not that surprised I can't sleep. Today has been nothing but unfortunate events. When I woke up this morning, I found Dana staring at me. Just looking through my soul with those jade-colored eyes. I asked her what was the matter and she didn't respond. She instead woke up Elliot for some reason, and they began their usual jibber-jabber. He's fallen completely head-over-heels in love with her, and I don't like it. She can do absolutely no wrong, and his only brother is becoming less important. At first I pushed it away as jealousy. This strange girl is getting more attention than me, that's all. I'm feeling left out. Well, yes, I am feeling left out. The last person who means anything to me in this city, nay, even in the world, is more preoccupied with a new stranger than his own blood. But that isn't just it. She's been getting his food, his water. He's claiming he's not hungry as he's pa**ing her half-full cans of perfectly good food to win her affection. I hate it. I will not let my little brother starve because Dana wants to hustle it out of him with charm. She CAN hit the road and not come back no more. Not like that alone isn't enough to make me dislike her, but that's not even the worst part. More and more food is missing. Cans are magically disappearing from the face of the earth. I counted, I did the necessary math, and according to my calculations (which I checked three times just to be absolutely, super-duper sure), we're short SIX cans of food. SIX! And yes, I accounted for her being here and freeloading off of us, I accounted for everything that there is to account for. Plus, I checked the entire café. I sure haven't been hiding food from myself. Whoever's stealing it, what's their plan? To sneak away and eat a can of beans while no one else is paying attention? That's the most idiotic thing I've ever heard in my life, even for children. And to make it worse, guess who gets blamed for the missing food again? This awesome guy named Shia, who's been protecting not only himself but two other people from harm and starvation. She's turned my own brother against me. As soon as any speculation about food was brought up, her finger went straight to me, and my brother's soon followed. This is the story of Mr. Hamster all over again. Placing blame on someone else to cover your own tracks. Well, even if I have to throw her back out in the streets, I will not allow her to continue this chaos. She has to go. Very soon. Conspiracies turning into fact, Shia.
