Show Teeth - Broken Funeral lyrics

By: Tanner W. There was a sad mood within the crowd. At least, that was the idea that then of the looks on people's face. You see a very important man had died. He had a lot of money because of all the business he had done, but that is not what made him a great man. He was kind, generous, loving and funny. Not something you would normally see with a rich man. He was all that. He made everyone in the room love him and laugh just by showing up. The people in the room paid no testament to that part of him. His relatives and friends all waited for the real event of the day. They all wanted their name in the will. The all wanted the lion's share of this, now deceased, man's dragon's hoard. This was why I felt very, very alone. He was a great man. I knew him very well. My father would take me to visit him and grandma for many years. My tears were probably the only ones of sadness in the room. I heard some murmuring in the room as I walked by of people talking about “that crazy man finally kicking the bucket”. This made my dad mad, but me just upset. My dad knew exactly who got all the money, because he was the only lawyer my grandpa truly trusted. He confided that it was not going to anybody in the room. That gave me happiness, because I hated most everybody here. None of these people cared about those with disabilities that my grandfather helped, or the people in Africa that my grandpa helped vaccinate for malaria. He took me along, because he wanted to instill in me as he did to my dad a sense of serving. He did not want us to become like the rest of his children. They were greedy and money dependent. I gave him joy, because I understood his feelings. There is something better in this world. You just have to find it.
