Qaiser Ali Khan - We, Girls and University lyrics

The life in a university is not so much easy and enjoyable as it usually seems to be. Once someone gets his bachelor's degree, he always thinks of the romantic, colorful and exciting life at university. Images of young charming damsels preoccupy his mind and to show his excellence and inspire his family and friends-- become his aims in life. In universities there live two kinds of creatures, girls and guys in addition to some intervening forces, namely teachers and officials. In almost all universities the faculty members and officials remain aloof from students but it is not quite so in our universities. Here seems to be a competition among students, teachers and officials as who will get near to girls first. In this quest for girls, they can go to any extent. For instance, I discovered that in the university entry test the teachers (who were to keep a check on students) were actually busy in asking the answers of questions from students in order to tell them to girls while the officials were serving them with dews, pepsies and tanda pani. It was a rare spectacle for me, both inspiring (in the sense that they were helping our future cla** fellows) and envious (as I myself wished to be a girl at that time). But to get near the girls is as much difficult a task as understanding the English of Chaucer. We usually think these creatures as dumb driven-cattle but actually they are the most dangerous species on this earth. The more you will think of yourself closer to them, the more you will be at the far end. In our society they cannot take a single step against the will of their parents nor will they go against the accepted norms of the society. It appears that they hold strongly to; "It shall never become that wife That hath once done amiss. (From: The Boy and the Mantle" is Child ballad number 29, an Arthurian story) They don't believe in love, they only believe in of how much utility one is. And we the turkeys are nothing more than waging dongs before them. They know the art of how to use us very well. Once you become of no use to them, they will cast you away with such indifference as if you were not even known to them. Some of us, or to be more precise, all of us posses a soft corner for them and they are inherently gifted with a power how to exploit it in the best possible manner. If you are a blessed handsome or wealthy young man then be hopeful that you have some chances of becoming someone's prince charming otherwise, you have the same lot as us. No matter how much faithful, brilliant and helpful you are, you will forever remain their great bhai. Students and the university officials consider bachelor lecturers (and a few married also) as their arch enemies in this quest. The reason why girls favor lecturers is obviously pesa and position. Girls marvelously use their veiled beauty and bewitch them with their amorous gestures. They make full use of their unveiled arsenal such as naked ankles, rolling their eyes wantonly, lively laughing and occasional furtive looks towards their prey. But the most dangerous weapon is the sight of their naked arms during their presentations which compels the teachers as well as students to give them 100% not only internal but also external marks. Unmarried bearded teachers are their first priority for they always happened to be easy k**s for them. In a recent event happened in a university, the betrothal of a handsome young bearded lecturer with a gorgeous young lady hit a severe blow to her eligible and ineligible suitors alike. Strong reaction was anticipated from these young gallants and mature body of university. It did come but soon burst out like a bubble in water, for once it is over, it is over. Students are now seriously considering it as inevitable to make student's body union for the protection of their righteous rights. In short, in this Quest for Girls, time will tell which one of the three will turn out as triumphant. But one thing is sure that presently, lecturers are on top, students are next and officials of the university are at the bottom. Qaiser Ali Khan June 2009
