Argentinean hardcore metal band formed by guitarist Andres Gimenez, ba**ist Marcelo Corbalan, and drummer Anibal Alo in the early '90s. A.N.I.M.A.L. is a short cut for Acosados Nuestros Indios Murieron Al Luchar (while being chased, our natives died fighting). A year later, original drummer Anibal Alo was replaced by Martin Carrizo, recording Fin De Un Mundo Enfermo. In 1996, after signing up to Warner Music, the band moved to the U.S. to make El Nuevo Camino Del Hombre, which became a gold record in Argentina; touring Mexico and North America soon after. In 1998 drummer Andres Villanova joined in, recording Poder Latino, featuring "Cinco Siglos Igual,," made along with singer/songwriter Leon Gieco.
