Corruption For hundreds of years we've been looking for the easy way out But when it comes to bribes we have no doubt No one does it better than us; the rich in the west Now day's cops don't feel the need to arrest A simple note of money is most men's flaw Whatever happened to justice and ‘the law's the law'? Parents trying to get their kids better education But to succeed in life you need authorization, dedication Not just your daddy's bank account Who will pay whatever amount, to keep his darling child happy? Criminals are on the streets, rising in numbers And the police arrest rate? It's all blunders! They stumble around on cases like it's their first steps again Just waiting for the thugs who'll turn up and act like businessmen ‘500 to leave us alone' they'll say And the cops will take it, no delay The governments in our world are completely corrupt And I hope you don't mind me when I interrupt As our civilisations increases in understanding we should be left on our feet, still standing! Not down on our knees, begging for a bribe Just because the doctor wouldn't prescribe, those pills you wanted Which you are now hooked on, so you need to buy some d** You move on to the hard core stuff, the things that will make you feel extremely rough But you don't care cause you get that high you wanted And you don't listen too when your child grows up and says ‘Dad, we could have bonded' Cause you're too stuck up, too included in this d** ring To see that even when you feel like it, you're never a king That's just the d** working, using your body Has it ever occurred to you that this system is shoddy? All around the world there are hard-working men And all that happens is that they get turned down again, and again While all the rich, posh pricks, bribe their way to the top Very rarely do you see a man in the city, who created his own crop Who put the EFFORT it, he broke his bones, just to get at the chance to repay his loans Everyone knows there's something wrong but no one does a thing People just close their eyes to it all, play with a piece of a string Trying to pretend they don't notice, they don't know what's going on Even when the hard working people are getting threatened with a bomb They're being beaten back by the corrupted police Who do nothing to do with justice and more to buy a new mantelpiece Cause they're like the toys of the rich, the spoilt and the wealthy They'll do anything, as long as they stay healthy Of course in recent years the amounts of bribes have been decreasing But the state of mind the police are in is unceasing They're lazy, they never complete the job They don't care if the streets are ruled by a mob ‘We're getting close to an arrest, we're nearly there.' Say the idiots at the station who want to be a millionaire But do nothing about it, nothing to achieve their dreams All day they just sit there and completely ignore the screams The screams from a planet which is slowly dying The pace with which this is happening is horrifying We talk about recycling, and keeping ourselves fit But in the end all of us know that we never commit To REALLY making a change in our lives, beating the depression Fighting back against the fat cats and succeeding in our profession Unfortunately we all know that there's very few of these people Because most of our humanity prefers to inject themselves with a needle Till they become feeble Not able to support the family on their backs Not coming into work and avoiding tax The world is corrupt, this increases every day Our world is falling into more and more disarray This can't go on, it has to stop, at least one thing we've learnt from this rap- don't be a cop
