She shared her life with her mother, sister, and hunting friend named Gale. Katniss sister, prim, was randomly chosen to represent district 12 in the hunger games. Katniss sister prim was picked to be in the hunger games but Katniss volunteers herself to take prim place. Katniss and a boy from her district enter the hunger games, Katniss fights to remain Alive and has gotten hurt in her leg and had to see her good friend die in her arms but she remains strong for her family. Katniss wins the hunger games and remains strong and be with her family. Katniss is the best hero for the epic monomyth because she fights and fights for little that she have. Katniss saved her sister that she needs to attend to at all times she her sister can look at her and see that she wants to be like Katniss one day help help out even more. Katniss also have her mother and father that is looking over her and counting on her to do good for the family and provide for them. Katniss is a better hero in my eyes because Luke had friends to help him and Katniss had one but she died so Katniss stayed strong through the whole stages and she is a good epic hero for staying strong. Luke on the other hand did not have much to lose but katniss had a lot to lose like her sister, mother, father and best friend.
