GOD OF THE SEA God of the Sea and brother to Zeus, Poseidon's realm is almost as great as the sky itself, and his power is second only to Zeus because of it. Poseidon's power was so great that he could wash away entire civilizations. He commands every creature that lives in his domain, even the great and powerful ancient beasts, such as Scylla and the mighty Charybdis. He could channel his vast power to create into terrible earthquakes or the legendary Hippocampi. Although there is a seat for Lord Poseidon in Olympus, he prefers to remain in his own kingdom, much like his other brother, Hades. Poseidon has a long memory and loyalty is well known. It was Poseidon that punished Odysseus and his crew for ten years over a single insult. All mortals would do well to remember, unless you have the sk** to breathe underwater, be grateful to the god that doesn't drown all the Earth and claim it for his own.
