There are many heroes that existed today in this world. Some heroes can be considered to be better than others, but each hero has to go through many stages to be a real hero just like in the epic hero Monomyth. In an epic hero Monomyth there are many heroes and some can be either better or neutral just like, Luke Skywalk can fulfill the Epic Hero Monomyth, Percy Jackson can also fulfill the Epic Hero Monomyth, but Percy Jackson can be considered to fulfill the Epic Hero Monomyth the best.
Luke Skywalker fulfills the Epic Hero Monomyth because he goes through many obstacles to become a hero. For example, Luke fights Dark Vader and he uses the force Obi-one has taught him. This example goes hand in hand with the result stage of the Monomyth. Another example would be when Luke leaves his normal life to go save princess Leia, that is an example of departure stage in the Monomyth. Last but not least, Luke has to overcome the lost of Obi-one when he is k**ed by Dark Vader; this fulfills the trials stage of the Monomyth. Over all, he goes through more stages to become victorious hero.
Percy Jackson can also be an example of an Epic Hero because he goes through a long journey and he has to overcome many things to get what he wants. For instance, when Percy finds out he is the son of a god named Poseidon he has to go to a camp where he's going to be safe from all the other people that want to hurt him. That example falls into the call to adventure stage of the Monomyth. Percy confronts Uran*s the god of the underworld because he has his mom thinking that Percy has the Lightning bolt. That is an example of the approach stage of the Monomyth because he has to face Uran*s to get his mom back. Percy's life changes because after all he went through he can't reunite with his mom because he'll be in danger outside the camp he's in. This goes in with the new life stage of the Monomyth. Percy Jackson can also be a good hero to fulfill the Epic Hero Monomyth due to what he goes through.
Percy Jackson makes the best role model of a hero because he goes through a rougher time when he's going through the stages. Percy Jackson finds out that he has to leave to a camp to be save from all the creatues the fods send to attack him. This is an example of trails stage of the Monomyth, because Percy has to overcome the fact that he can't live with his mother. Percy Jackson also has to face many enemies that don't like him because they think he has the lightning bolt that belongs to his father Poseidon. This is an example of the approach stage because he has to face many humans to continue with his journey. Percy also has to deal with the fact that he doesn't live with his real father, after being with him for so many years. This is a great example of the status quo in the Momonyth because he lives a life he didn't know of. Over all in my opinion Percy Jackson is the best role model of a hero today because many teenagers can reflect on some things Percy goes through in his journey.
In conclusion, there are a numerous heroes all around the world, but each person has their own opinion on which hero is the best. Luke Skywalker and Percy Jackson are great Heroes to represent the Epic Hero Monomyth. Every hero goes through a number of stages in their journey to become successful in what they want to achieve. All the stages a hero goes through are important to become a well-known achieving hero.
