[Senator Ted Cruz] What I regret is that the President, rather than working a bipartisan way to prevent the enormous harms Obamacare is causing, chose instead to force a government shutdown and to refuse to do anything to provide relief to the millions who are now hurting. Over 5 million people have lost their healthcare because of Obamacare. About 100,000 have gotten healthcare.
Repealing Obamacare is the essence of pragmatism. Nobody's defending it. It is manifestly clear. It's not working.
