Footsteps leading to the sea
Seem to end at its edge
Disappearing amongst the foam
Of breaking swells crashing upon
The wave swept shore
Fading beneath the ripples
Where there seems to be
Neither a beginning nor an end
Flowing into a horizon
That reaches out forever more
Flowing to where the edge of the Earth
Blends into a water colored blue sky
And then fades seamlessly
Into the endless vastness of the Universe
Far past where the naked eye can see
Far beyond all reality
