Cat's eyes shine white as they fly by,
Heading south on this northbound vein
I race with the other red blood cell pairs
Circulating from one organ to another.
I do my job like the celves around me
To make this system of ours work we have to be
Dragged along by the food chain like
Particles of carbon and molecules of H20
In the heart of a zebra between the jaws of a lion-
Our electrons orbit each system's sun
But this daystar is dying and that cell is cancerous
And now the nucleus is having a meltdown
Disrupting the cytoplasm it doesn't even know exists
Like time to a human or blood to the cells
