Allen York x The Trackoholics - I Want In lyrics

Going into this project, I knew there was 3 rappers I wanted to get on here. All 3 were grinding with me in Florida. Being that I met The Trackoholics in FL, and I hadn't lived there in a while, it would all just make sense, making things come full circle One of those artist being JoeyG. Of the Humanauts. Joey and I met back in like, 2009ish and it just so happened we moved back to NY around 2010ish and been kicking it since . We got a couple records together, some released, some not… but I knew I had to craft some thing for us. Thats really my brother See, I'd love to collab with all the artist I like, I just don't have a gazillion beats in my email and the ones I do love I'm married to, I rap til there's no beat. My last two albums were feature-less for that reason I Want In just came from the convos JoeyG. And I have had for years. It's about being so close but so far. About the doubt, the frustration, and ultimately the motivation to get where we need to be. The hook is simple, the beat is perfect for a live venue and we went on “Put my flat screen on the Max, cause I know that wifey trippin All this naggin and complaining, man the rap game sound like b**hes” This line was a set up for the next four bars. When I'm talking about said women, I'm not talking about a woman at all, I'm talking about hip hop. How she is my wife and “But I'm too in love to leave her, can't even get me a mistress” was about hip hop. I can't leave it. I spoon fed the verse and the bars. It just felt right to do so… then Joey came in and murded it with no mercy. The reaction from his verse/record during NYR3 is what this thing was about, I was so happy people got to see JoeyG. shine, that's my guy. Get that NoSpace album(www.Humanauts.com) The Video This was the turning point where I knew I had to take a leap visually. I wanted a movie. With such a ‘simple' song, we could have easily did a simple video but 2 simples is just too simple for me. We ended up shooting for 2 or 3 days(Thank You Llama, Thank you Paris) I came up with 2 treatments, and with videos, and with the level we're at, you do the videos you have the resources for. The video came out great, only two regrets, I should have rapped with the hostiages too, and we should have blacked out the room for more of a dramatic effect. I still look on ways to improve my art, even if its given to the world already SideNote: We shot that video on thee coldest day of the year on a windy roof. My African attire was priceless though. The outcome priceless, this is the video most people compliment me on “I asked for the world, they suggested patience Having a plan is great, please don't be mistaken But I'm ready to work, enough with the conversation”
